REFLECTION 11

How will Picasa, PowerPoint, and Google Presentations help me teach my students? I think that those tools are awesome for the classroom. I think the students would pay alot more attention to things like that than they would to a book!
How will Picasa, PowerPoint, and Google Presentations help me help my students' parents with resources and tools to empower their own children? I think that it would help them by teaching students to use and create their own powerpoints.
How will Picasa, PowerPoint, and Google Presentations help me help my colleagues and other teachers? I think you can create awesome presentions by collaborating together and google presentations can do that easily and effectively.
In which ways might I employ Picasa, PowerPoint, and Google Presentations to reach beyond my standards to empower my students? By being excited using them in the classroom, and teaching children to learn through technology rather than strickly by books!

i thought this video was really funny! I liked it! And I think alot of the things he said were definatley true! I myself really like powerpoint presentation and I think if I teach older grades I will most likely use alot of presentations using power point! I know alot of people don't like powerpoint butCertainly do!! The video was funny tho!

REFLECTION 9

Digital Cameras can be very beneficial in the classroom, and a fun way to learn. I think there are alot of pros to using Cameras, I think the main reason is it is a fun different way to learn something or to teach something in the classroom. Students would really enjoy using cameras, I think it would get them excited about the subject that you are teaching! Some cons would be your students misusing the cameras, or getting distracted while using them and not getting the assignment or lesson done! I think I will use cameras in my classroom for certain things! I think it is a fun way to incorporate technology in the classroom!

REFLECTION 9

I absolutely loved the UEN website! I thought it had alot of great teaching ideas and lessons! I really loved it! I found it so great that there are so much available for teachers to use to help students learn in more ways then just reading out of a book. I really enjoyed the cool tutorials and virtual tours they had. I will most definatley be using those in my classrooms. I think it is so great that students and teachers have things like that so readily available, I believe students learn so much more effectively with things like that. Just like some of the videos we have watched, technology is such a great teaching tool, and so easy and available that it should be used in every classroom! UEN as well as Pioneer library amazed me with how many great tools they have. I loved the Searchasaurus tool. I think that would be a great tool to use in the classroom and allow students to play with it and to learn and maybe use is to learn alot about a certain topic and do a report on it! I really did like learning about UEN and I will for sure be using it as I am a teacher. I think it is a very useful tool! I love it!!!

We didn't start the fire!! I have actually seen this video before I love it! I think it is a great way for children to learn history because its catchy!!! I think it would be cool to use the song and give the students a decade and have them come up with their own verse for the song! It would be such a fun way to incorporate history and I think the kids would really remember it!

REFLECTION 8

I don't really think we have learned about web 2.0 yet, so I am going to just reflect on the things that I have learned thus far in this class. I absolutley have enjoyed the things I have learned, and I know that they will help me greatly in the future. I have also learned how important technology in the classroom is going to be for my students, well not only important but absolutley vital to their future and thier learning! I really have enjoyed the things I have learned in my class, it has and will be very useful to me!

VIDEO WEEK 8

Did you know? Video, I found this video interesting. It was alot of repeat information from other videos we watched, but there was alot of new facts I learned that blow my mind. One of the facts actually scared me to think about... " 2049 the computer will exceed the computational capabilities of the entire human species." It made me think of the show robots :) Where the robots take over the world. It actually sometimes scares me how much and how quickly technology is increasing and growing!! But I also think technology is great and very useful!

VIDEO WEEK 7

That video was very interesting! I could not believe the taking a picture and placing it on the screen and being able to transfer it onto the screen or on to another electronic device just by placing the electronics on the table...amazed me!! That is so crazy! What will they think of next???
