VIDEO 15
School house rock- That video was cool becuase it is very imformative and the students can have fun while they learn about important things! I am a firm believer that students can memorize things alot better through music, songs and poems. So learning this way is very valuable for the students, because I feel they will better remember the things they learn such as this video on the preamble! I love it! and I know that things that this that contain learning with music will be involved in my students learning, an important part of my classroom!!
REFLECTION 15
I actually had alot of fun making my final project! I probably liked it cause it was about my family! It was fun! Although I ran into some problems when trying to upload my project, the pictures got all messed up and were no longer aligned where I had them, it was a mess. So what I ended up doing was making my paper into a pdf file, then uploading it, and that worked...but then I ran into my next problem, it wouldn't allow me to publish it or else it would get all messed up again! AHH I was getting so frusterated cause I knew how to do the things but when I would do them they would mess up the layout of my project! it was so fun to be able to know how to do those things to put them on a site! I definitley think that I will be using these things I have learned in my classroom, not only does it keep you very organized but it helps parents be able to be more involved in the classroom!!!
REFLECTION 13
Kidspiration was awesome! What a great tool for the kids to use to learn! I remember when I was in Elementary I hated brainstroming and making idea webs, but I think if I would have had this cool tool I would have enjoyed it alot more! I thought it was fun that you could add in pictures and make it really cute. Not only could the students use it to learn but even for the younger grades the teacher could create a really cool brainstorm to help the kids come up with cool ideas and learn with the teacher! I really like this program!

Reflection 12
This week we learned about Kid inspiration program, and I really liked it! I thought it was a great way for students to collaborate together and to learn new things. I really thought it was cool how you could incorporate pictures into the page and really make it cute! It was simple and easy to do which sometimes is a must for students to stay focused and entertained with the assignment! I wish that that program was free :) I really liked it and I am really excited to have a break this week no class on monday baby!!!! WAHOO!!!!
VIDEO 12
"I never teach my pupils; I only attempt to provide the conditions in which they can learn" Albert Einstein
That is an awesome quote! I absolutley agree that having a creative fun classroom really adds to the students' oppurtunities to learn!
" Team building must be a component of every teacher's curriculum because learning can only begin when students feel secure with those who share thier learning space!"
This video is full of good quotes!
It was cool to learn about the global sites that you can connect your students to, I had no idea there were such things out there. I think that is really cool and what a great way to learn about different cultures, and how different cultures do school and learn! I really liked the video!

REFLECTION 11
How will Picasa, PowerPoint, and Google Presentations help me teach my students? I think that those tools are awesome for the classroom. I think the students would pay alot more attention to things like that than they would to a book!
How will Picasa, PowerPoint, and Google Presentations help me help my students' parents with resources and tools to empower their own children? I think that it would help them by teaching students to use and create their own powerpoints.
How will Picasa, PowerPoint, and Google Presentations help me help my colleagues and other teachers? I think you can create awesome presentions by collaborating together and google presentations can do that easily and effectively.
In which ways might I employ Picasa, PowerPoint, and Google Presentations to reach beyond my standards to empower my students? By being excited using them in the classroom, and teaching children to learn through technology rather than strickly by books!

i thought this video was really funny! I liked it! And I think alot of the things he said were definatley true! I myself really like powerpoint presentation and I think if I teach older grades I will most likely use alot of presentations using power point! I know alot of people don't like powerpoint butCertainly do!! The video was funny tho!

REFLECTION 9
Digital Cameras can be very beneficial in the classroom, and a fun way to learn. I think there are alot of pros to using Cameras, I think the main reason is it is a fun different way to learn something or to teach something in the classroom. Students would really enjoy using cameras, I think it would get them excited about the subject that you are teaching! Some cons would be your students misusing the cameras, or getting distracted while using them and not getting the assignment or lesson done! I think I will use cameras in my classroom for certain things! I think it is a fun way to incorporate technology in the classroom!

REFLECTION 9
I absolutely loved the UEN website! I thought it had alot of great teaching ideas and lessons! I really loved it! I found it so great that there are so much available for teachers to use to help students learn in more ways then just reading out of a book. I really enjoyed the cool tutorials and virtual tours they had. I will most definatley be using those in my classrooms. I think it is so great that students and teachers have things like that so readily available, I believe students learn so much more effectively with things like that. Just like some of the videos we have watched, technology is such a great teaching tool, and so easy and available that it should be used in every classroom! UEN as well as Pioneer library amazed me with how many great tools they have. I loved the Searchasaurus tool. I think that would be a great tool to use in the classroom and allow students to play with it and to learn and maybe use is to learn alot about a certain topic and do a report on it! I really did like learning about UEN and I will for sure be using it as I am a teacher. I think it is a very useful tool! I love it!!!
VIDEO 9
We didn't start the fire!! I have actually seen this video before I love it! I think it is a great way for children to learn history because its catchy!!! I think it would be cool to use the song and give the students a decade and have them come up with their own verse for the song! It would be such a fun way to incorporate history and I think the kids would really remember it!

REFLECTION 8
I don't really think we have learned about web 2.0 yet, so I am going to just reflect on the things that I have learned thus far in this class. I absolutley have enjoyed the things I have learned, and I know that they will help me greatly in the future. I have also learned how important technology in the classroom is going to be for my students, well not only important but absolutley vital to their future and thier learning! I really have enjoyed the things I have learned in my class, it has and will be very useful to me!
VIDEO WEEK 8
Did you know? Video, I found this video interesting. It was alot of repeat information from other videos we watched, but there was alot of new facts I learned that blow my mind. One of the facts actually scared me to think about... " 2049 the computer will exceed the computational capabilities of the entire human species." It made me think of the show robots :) Where the robots take over the world. It actually sometimes scares me how much and how quickly technology is increasing and growing!! But I also think technology is great and very useful!

VIDEO WEEK 7
That video was very interesting! I could not believe the taking a picture and placing it on the screen and being able to transfer it onto the screen or on to another electronic device just by placing the electronics on the table...amazed me!! That is so crazy! What will they think of next???

REFLECTION 6
I really believe that tools that I have learned so far will help me comminucate and teach my students in a more productive way. I really think that teaching my students to blog can help with creating a great communication bridge with them. I also like that sites thing, allowing my students and parents to get online and look and what we are going to be doing daily! It is a great tool and one I think I will use in my classroom!
VIDEO WEEK 6
Vision of Students today Video- I liked that video alot and I definatley agree with the message. We live in a world full of technology, technology that us as students would struggle to survive without it, and it will be the same for our future students. We need to include technology in our classrooms it is almost neccessary for success! I found it interesting, I don't think alot of teachers realize that the way their students is and should be very different from the way they learned!!

VIDEO WEEK 5
I thought the video was interesting. It is very true that technology is endless and ever so increasing in our world. The limits are almost endless, and not only is technology growing but it is growing rapidly. It is crazy to think that in just a few years our students will be learning in the classroom completely different then we did! My parents have come to me many times with questions about the computer, the email, thier cell phones etc. Perhaps in 10 years I will be doing the same with my children!!

VIDEO WEEK 4
Did you know VIDEO - I really liked this video it really made me think about some things, I especially liked the two following quotes alot. They really hit me hard...."We are currently preparing students for jobs and technologies that don't yet exist...in order to solve problems we don't even know are problems yet." " We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them."
-Albert Einstein
Tight video!!

REFLECTION 4
How will Microsoft Word help me communicate with my students? Well the obvious answer is through documents, letters, assignments etc.
How will Microsoft Word help me communicate with my students' parents? With Microsoft I can create letters to send home to the parents.
What are the pros and cons of Microsoft Word? Cons- Well now that I know about google documents and how you can collaborate with others on them, I find that as a disadvantage when it comes to microsoft word, because you can't do that with microsoft.
Pros- Microsoft is very simple and easy to use, children and adults can use it.

REFLECTION 3
I learned a lot from desining the sites this week! I acutally think that the sites can be very helpful not only for me as a teacher to stay organized but also for my parents and students, to be informed at all times! I think it creates a much better learning enviroment when you and your students' are able to communicate well and stay on top of things. I think these tools help very much in staying in touch with parents and keeping them informed of whats going on in their child's classroom. The pros of these tools are obvious, to help keep in touch with parents and students, and to stay organized and up-to-date on things as a teacher. I don't really think there are any cons! It is a great tool!!!
EDEL VIDEO WEEK 3
I found the video for this week interesting. A lot of the statements I completely agree with and others I think are not so great. One statement that I thought was very powerful was the question, " How much "richness" do you have in your curriculum? " It really makes you think! One think I thought was absolutely ridiculous was using cell phones to teach. give me a break, that is a joke! And as far as the "imagine this class assignment" texting someone from outside your class and finding out what their favorite breakfast food is, in my opinion has no value or oppurtunity to obtain valuable knowledge. However, overall I definatley think we should as teachers use more technology in our classrooms.

EDEL VIDEO WEEK 2
Well I couldn't get the video WEB 2.0 to work, I'm not sure why it wouldn't work but I tried multiple times. As far as the dewey decimal one though, I loved it! I think songs or poems etc. help students retain information so much quicker and more effectively. I really like it alot! I really like the classy white rapper!! :)
REFLECTION 2
In todays world technology is all over and is increasingly being used in the classrooms, I think this generation would be lost with out technology with how much we depend on it. As for as communicating with my students, as an elementary teacher I don not think it is write to communicate with the students outside of school with the use of any kind of technology, however I feel you can better relate to your students by being aware of the tools of technology that your students use. I think communication between teachers and parents is very productive and think that the social networking tools available can be very productive in your classroom. I think you have to be very careful with the communication tools that are available.

REFLECTION 1
I can not wait to be a teacher, and for the most part I haven't ever really tried to plan or create the most ideal classroom, cause I really feel that you never really will have the best or most ideal classroom, however you can try and have one with alot of hard work. As for as the physical aspects go, my ideal classroom would definatly be in Utah somewhere close to my family. It doesn't neccesarily have to be in a very nice rich school but the most ideal would be a nice clean classroom that I can bring students in to enhance their learning expierence. I really feel if your space is not clean less learning will take place, so I definatly want a clean classroom. In an ideal class there would be alot of parent teacher communication and parent involvement in the classroom. I feel the more the parents' are involved the better the expierence will be for everyone, teacher, student and parent. As far as class goals, I definatly think students gaining and developing respect not only with me as the teacher but with their peers will create the most ideal classroom in which students can learn the best. Again I don't think teachers will have the oppurtunities for the most ideal classroom but I most definatly feel that as teachers we can create a beautiful classroom in which students will grow and learn.

EDEL VIDEO WEEK 1
The Video talked about a couple of different topics, but a couple things interested me. Three of the Country's largest Internet Service providers are considering placeing monthly limits on their users internet activity. Customers would pick a plan and they would pay for the amount of time they use the Internet. "People who use the internet more heavily should pay more, just like they do for water, electricity and cell phones." I found that interesting and I hope that they do not decide to do that! I think it would change how students and teachers use the internet greatly, and that could be a postive or negative thing. Another thing the video talked about was touch screen computers. I think this is a very cool idea, Just watching it on the video it looked fun!
